Day 2: Venice

When I told my Italian teacher we would be in Venice on Easter Monday, she said the Italian equivalent of “Ugh.” Annnnnnd, it would be raining. Despite all that we had a great day. A cold and wet day, mind you, but still fun. Venice is beautiful.

We took a gondola ride in the pouring rain. It was…less than ideal. 😖 (The picture is from earlier in the day.)

The grands have figured out who they can take advantage of…
Half way through the day…wet and exhausted. The food at lunch was so amazing that I didn’t get any photos. We just started eating and exclaiming.

After lunch on the island of Murano we watched the 1000+ year old tradition of glass blowing.

Most people spent money in the showroom.
Lydia was happy to get new earrings.

My favorite part of the day was the small island of Burano. The brightly colored buildings were so pretty.
